Do It Yourself - How To Make Costumes At Home!

Looking for a Halloween costume that's cheap and easy? There's no need to shell out big bucks when you can work wonders with a white sheet or some hangers.

Doing it yourself isn't just trendy, it's economical and eco-friendly. The Craft and Hobby Association estimates that more than half of U.S. households engage in some kind of crating. These costumes from ThreadBanger.com, a network for people who make their own fashions, make great use of items you might already have around the house.

That's exactly what I did when I outgrew those costume kits you use to be able to by at the discount stores. I used card board boxes, old dryer vent hoses, flash light bulbs, grocery bags, bed sheats, dog chains, you name it.
