I Finaly Saw a Wolfman Trailor at the Theatre

Post by Pumpkin_Man » Sat Aug 22, 2009 11:20 pm

Hi Folks:

I went to see "Inglorious U-Know-"Whats" last night. I won't waist anyone's time talking about that truely hokey half hearted attempt at Historical Fantasy, but there was some good news. Before the movie starts, they allways play trailors for comming flicks. I finaly saw a trailor for "The Wolf Man" 2009, which did not give an exact date, but I am thinking it's going to actualy be 2010 when it's actualy screaned.

At any rate, it promises to be a classic wearwolf story in every sense of the world. When I say classic I mean creepy old castle, spooky old woods, and a time frame in the 19th entury, much like the original was. Folks, I hope I'm not all wet, but this looks to be a great retelling of the story of Lawrence Tolbat. Or at least my 'whsiful thinking' bone has me thinking that way.

At any rate, I plan to see it on the very day it opens.

Mike

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

"Van Helsing" had a campy aspect to it, but I thought it was a good movie, too. I have it in my DVD collection.

I liked that lantern that could reproduce sun light. I would love to have that on my motorcycle to use as a head light when people refuse to turn off their high beams. (narf narf)

I definately plan to see it next weekend. I don't know if I'll make opening night, but when I go out to horror movies I like to see the very latest show. Also, if I can take the bike instead of the car, that makes the drive home even spookier.

I will be sure to post a review, but I think it's going to be good.

I know the prequel/remake of Halloween I was good, and would like to have it in my permanant collection.

That's the movie that I'm REALLY chompin at the bit to see, because "The Wolf Man" is not even really a remake, but rather a retelling of the Larry Tolbat story. We're finaly going to be treated to a classic horror story about a wearwolf, complete with a creepy old castle, spook old woods, full moons, and everything else. It's just too bad that they have to wait until February to release it, instead of releasing it in October. But then again, what bette way to break up the Winter time boredom with an early Halloween treat like a brand new rendition of a timeless classic horror story?

The guy from Planet Videos talked to me about this "WolfMan" movie, and he told me that this could be more scarier than the classic one! If he said so, then I would go see it. :D

According to the Trailor I saw, and according to most of what I read, the story takes place in the 19th century in England, where Tolbat Castle is located. It has all the elements of a classic Wearwolf movie. It has the creepy old castle. It has the spook woods. It has the full moon, and it has an unwilling monster.

It really promises to be a great horror show that will probably end up in my permanant collection as soon as it's available on DVD.
