Do you mean 6:45am-7:00pm? If that's the case OMG you must be exhausted!

With all dur respect, HQ, 15 minutes does seem a very short time for a Halloween party. I like mine to last at least 2 hours. In fact, I plan to have mine from 8:00 until around midnight, and then go for a motorcycle ride when my guests leave. If my nephew brings his youngest along, then it might have to break up around 10, but I am still going to keep the party going until midnight even if I'm alone. I plan to roast hot dogs in the fire place, and I plan to go for my Halloween night motorcycle ride weather permitting.

If we get snow fluries, however, I will probably forgo the motorcycle ride.

My party was Saturday night. It started at 8 and ended somewhere between 11:30 and midnight. We had around 40 people, all ages. Actually, the party felt like it started at 6 since some of my 14-year-old daughter's friends came over then so they could all get ready together and have her do their make-up. It was a great party, but what a long day it was! Here's how my day went. Saturday morning I got up at 5:30 and got ready to run. 6:30 I started running. Ran 4.25 miles. Showered, did a couple of quick, light piddly little chores. Had to get some stuff ready for my son's football game, which was at 11. But prior to the game, which was their homecomeing game, everyone met in the parking lot of Hobby Lobby, which is a HUGE arts and crafts store, very similar to Michael's only bigger. We met there since it's right up the road from the football fields so everyone can decorate their cars, take pictures, and get pumped up, and then caravan out of there to the fields. After the game, which we won!, we all went out to eat. Got home around 2:30 and did a little more cleaning and last-minute party preparations. I was done at 5:30, which was when I showered and got into make-up and costume. I went as Daphne from Scooby-Doo. My costume is exactly like the cartoon version. My daughter went as Edward Scissorhands. Our costumes were pretty much homemade. It was so strange seeing my daughter dressed like that! I had to keep doing a double take and could not believe it was her! She looked great. After the party, I considered cleaning up in the morning, but I got a second wind and decided it would be better to take care of the mess then and not have to deal with it when I got up. I got to bed around 2 a.m. I figured I'd sleep in, but I automatically woke up around 7. I'm up almost every morning at 5, so it was that stupid internal body clock kicking in. :x

Sounds like you had a great time. I'm glad it was a success!

The party I'm going to is early on Halloween night. Can't wait!

are we all invited, Belladonna?
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!
