Better Horror Film-maker...

Post by iHaunt » Tue May 04, 2010 5:32 pm

Rob Zombie, or a 7 year old with a potty mouth?

Discuss!!!

How does everyone like Halloween, with Michael Myers? The original, or the remake?

How about other films of his own?

Like, "House Of 1000 Corpses" and "The Devil's Rejects". And, anime film "El Beasto".

Just my opinion, but the final scene of "The Devil's Rejects" is the best 10 minutes of film ever shot. Also, I really did enjoy "House Of 1000 Corpses" because it has Halloween theme scenes. ;)

If you've heard his music, you've seen his films.

Unrelenting, unwatchable, and ultimately, unsatisfying...IMO.

IMO, I do like RZ's Halloween the first part. I really did care less about his second part remake of Halloween.

BTW, RZ's next upcoming film called "Tyrannosaurus Rex" should be around next year.

99 times out of 100 the original of anything is going to be better and moreso in horror films because it established the character and his/her personality. I agree in this case the original is better. I did enjoy some of the back story on Michael Myers but it was more about shock and gore...the original was suspense and your own imagination 'filling' in the blanks that made it scary.

Ok, did anyone see RZ's The Haunted World of El Superbeasto? It's anime/horror movie. It's pretty cool!

If you haven't seen it, then I recommend this to see! :D

I really do not like Rob Zombie's music or his movies, but Halloween wasn't all that bad in my opinion. The rest of his movies I could care less. The Original will always be better though.

Well I don't understand some people enjoy Zombie puts out. It's great that he remembers other actors that have contributed to horror in the past. As far as his music they like it as well. :?

The Devil's Rejects was ok for shock value.
I love the clown lol.
Good soundtrack too, 70's rock.

Anything that Rob comes into contact with is completely ruined. Why he is still making movies? i have no clue. Being a diehard fan of the original Halloween, I was absolutely sickened by what he did with the opportunity of remaking a classic film. I saw it on its premiere and left the movie theater about 30-45 minutes into the film. Bottom-line, Rob Zombie needs to stay away from the movie industry,
