I wish I had access to these documentaries you speak of.
I find most of these shows on Prime.

Today, I will visit NYC's Halloween Adventure, a costume & novelty store open all year...
This shop has been open for decades and occupies a block-long space in the East Village...
Almost closed its doors for good during the pandemic, but lucky for us it's still alive & kicking

Following the costume shop, I will walk around Greenwich Village...
Enjoy the pleasant fall weather and visit my favorite community garden...
Tonight, I'll watch THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW at the Quad Cinema

That sounds like the perfect way to spend the Sat before Halloween.
We've got a rainy day here.

Andy, thanks for the link. It took a bit for me to get it to play. When I read about how popular the song had been, I wondered how I'd missed it. It should have been everywhere back in the day, but somehow it had passed me by.

Yesterday, I had a great time at my old "haunts" in NYC's Greenwich & East Village neighborhoods
Began my tour at Washington Square Park where I discovered a hilarious Halloween dog competition

I then walked to the Halloween Adventure store on Broadway where I saw Mr. Barlow

Thanks for those wonderful photos! What a fabulous way to celebrate the season.
I am a Southerner, born and bred. I like to say my family has been in the South ever since there's been a South, since decades before the Revolution. I was born and raised in Mississippi, with all my holidays regularly spent in Arkansas, my mother's home state. As an adult I've lived in Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, and Virginia. For the last 30 years, though, I've been in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, about 30 miles southeast of Nashville. We had a rainy day yesterday.

I grew up in the Deep South, near the Gulf Coast of Louisiana--Cajun born and bred! Haven't lived there since 2014, though. I prefer the East Coast now.

The Sleepy Hallow show looks fun!
On my way back from Safeway I stopped at the covered bridge for some pix.
"Now if you doubt this tale is so
I met that spook just a year ago
Now I didn't stop for a second look
But made for the bridge that spans the brook
For once you've crossed that bridge, my friend
The ghost is through
His power ends!"
