Unfortunatly I haven't got anything else up other than the hanging ghot and scarecrow in my bedroom and a few lil things in my truck. Instead I've been spending more time trying to figure out my costume but I'm hoping that this weekend I'm going to put some more up since Halloween is just around the corner

I've been putting out different decorations here and there throughout the past few months.

My yard haunt is still in its infancy. I will be setting it up this week. Inside I'm done.

I'm done inside, but way behind on the outside stuff. I have some up, but need to finish. Hopefully this weekend.

I got most of my outside display up yesterday. I will be adding some pumpkins, of course. My front yard trees have grown, and now I feel I need to buy more lights to string in them, but my husband says, not this year. I guess he doesn't want us to spend too extravagantly.

Right now, I'm just looking forward to decorating for any holiday now that Christmas is over. The living room looks so bare and empty without the tree.

Not sure when I'll start decorating for Halloween this year. Might just depend on when I get into the Halloween spirit. XD I am seeing some Halloween lights and an inflatable cat sitting on a shelf that I never got to put up last year. I'll have to make a mental note to put them out this year. We got some hooks for Christmas lights, so perhaps I can use those for the Halloween ones.

I have gone back and forth on this issue for a while. When I was younger I tried to avoid decorating or even getting excited a little bit for fear that I would be burnt out on when the holiday arrives. That is not the case I learned this year if you want to have a great yard haunt the planning starts in February and you start building in June. So that is what I am doing now is building a cloaked ghost with lantern and maybe some tombstones. I've got to get started on planting pumpkins today too!

Good luck with the pumpkins, I haven't had luck for a few years now .

I'm thinking of waiting until next year to plant pumpkins at this point. I think if I started now they wouldn't be finished growing before the first frost sets in.
That's OK though. It'll be enough fun picking out a pumpkin, and we should be more settled in by next year.
I may hold off on the theme too. Castle theme is a cool idea and all, but I got so many new decorations now I'm probably just going to display those this year. I don't even think I'll need to buy any this year.
