Aye Im with PK. Loved FT13th when they kept it its original setting. Lake, Woods ect.
Once he hit New York, I was done. Havent been able to watch one since. However, If they can mange to do this like RZ did to Halloween, I will have to go and see it. While there is no replacement for originals, And I usually hate remakes, RZ's Halloween in my opinon, set it up right. Thats how you turn these 6-7 movies into 2 hrs.

I remember watching the original movie when I was younger. It was the scariest movie EVER!!!! I couldn't sleep alone for months and when I finally let my sister sleep in her room rather than mine,I always had to have the light on and not be able to get up and go to the rest room in the middle of the night. Although I LOVE to be scared, the original scared me TO DEATH!!!!

Me too! I was about 6 year old when I first watched original Friday the 13th movie on HBO cable in 1981 and I was pretty scary too!
I watched it the rest of the movie until the end... when its bedtime for me and I told my grandma that I really can't go sleep right now because I was getting scared!

Well, about a year later when there was part 2 coming out at cinemas and I refused to go seeing it until I was about 12 year old. Hee hee...
I've seen all Friday the 13th movies and never missed all parts.

Your parents let you watch that show when you were only 6?? Amaszing1. I wasn't even allowed to watch the old Universal monster movies like "Frenkenstein" and "Dracula" until I was almost 11.

I am almost 16 and my parents won't let me watch the original or the remake of Friday The 13! I think they are overprotective.

I wasn't allowed to see any "R" rated films until I was 17, and that was on rare ocassion. I remember when "The Exorcist" was out. I wanted to see that film in the worst way, and I was only 13 at the time. My parents sayd "NO WAY!" In fact, I wasn't even allowed to listen to the theme song (Tubular Bells) to that movie when it became a big hit on the radio.
And then when I got into college it was aired on television.

My parents think The Exorcist is "occultish" or something. They don't want me to watch that either.

Ths storyof "The Exorcist" is all about devil possession and excorcism. My parents, particularly my mother heard that there were some "filthy" scenes in it, which is why they didn't allow me to see it when it was out in the theatres, but I did rent the video and saw those "filthy" scenes, and I probably wouldn't want to show it to kids, either.
There was a major 'bru-ha-ha' that surrounded that film when it was playing in theatres. Stories of people running around yelling "I'm possesed! I'm possesed" running out of theatres vomiting, bleading, screaming, and even a few rumors of movie goers becoming possessed by devils themselvs contributed to the "controversy," and made it all the more dificult to convince my parents to let me see it.
When I saw it on VHS, it didn't even phase me. Some of the spitting, or vomiting scenes were gross, but no reason for anyone to rune out of the room throwing up.

Not entirely. When I lived in Chicago, my friends and I frequently rode CTA Busses to various places, including movie theatres. There was a bus driver who was sort of friendly with us who saw "The Exorcist." He was in the theatre when a guy tossed his cookies after the possessed girl spewed out all that green slime.
