hi geekmidwinter, Ya thats what I always thought too. But then last week I was in Superstore and they had a tone of DVD's on for $5 and I was in the mood for a Hallwooen type movie and there it was, so I thought what the heck for less then what it would cost to rent a movie no loss if it was a flop right. But it was actually good & omg the extent to which they went with the decor, wow I was in love! But ya give it a try.

Another couple of fun Halloweenish type movies to consider are: The Adams Family "Weird Is Relative", and The Adams Family Values

Hey magickbean, Interview with A Vampire is my number #1 Favourite, god I could watch that movie over & over and never grow tried of it. I also love Dracula and Queen of The Damned. I'm not into Horror or slasher flicks anymore, well haven't been for many years.

Movies that I think would work for you are:

Ghostbusters
Gremlins
Mr. Mom ( because they have a cool scene with them going trick or treating)
E.T.
Poltergeist
Ghost

One of my favorite classic movies is "The Bad Seed", it is in black and white and it is kind of scary, but not gory.

Also..."The Birds" is really an awesome movie, that isn't gory.

I don't like new movies because they are just gross and they do over the top stuff to just make people sick, I can't stand movies that people are tortured in.

Another great movie is "The Dark Night of the Scarecrow". It was a made for tv movie, and it is perfect for that time of year. It is suspenseful. I highly recommend it.

Get "The Munsters"...they are great tom watch that time of year.

All the older TV shows, were great, they had the best costume ideas too...like Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie.

Hey Spooky, Yep I did like Ghostbusters, E.T, Poltergeist, and loved Ghost.

I have many movies that I love, some of which are: Interview with a Vampire, Queen of The Damned, all Lord of the Rings, all Harry Potters, Practical Magick I just loved, The Others, Dark Crystal, Labrinyth, The Adams Family and The Adams Family Values, The Gift, and the list goes on. To see a lot more of the movies I love you'd have to go to my facebook page where I have more listed. Oh and I also like The Haunted Mansion.

Hey Spooky, I watched that one years ago, didn't do much for me, but thanks for the suggestion. I am thinking of giving "Its The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" another shot as I haven't watch that one since I was a little kid.

Hey people. Ok, If any of you see the DVD " The Nightmare Before Christmas" 2000 edition or the Speical Ed, please let me know how much you can get it for. Oh, and I would need Widescreen and I think it's called format 1, you know the one for USA & Canada DVD players. I'm wishing to buy it, I've actually never even seen it yet, and guess what! There are none left in any of the stores in my entire city,ug! We have a huge NBC fan club here so they sell out so fast

So please let me know how much & then I could pm whoever is willing to sell & ship to me :) But I would need to know a price first :)

Thanks everyone :D

Speaking of which, are there any other nifty things, not necessarily Halloween stuff that you can't get where you are that you would like to have sent to you?

Hey people, another fun movie, maybe a tad scary for some people's wee ones. It's an older movie 1990 called "The Witches" with Jason Fisher & Mai Zetterling

I haven't seen it in years, but thought it was kinda a fun movie!

magickbean wrote:I'm surprised no one has suggested "Interview With the Vampire" yet! It's possibly my favourite movie of all time  It's a great film because it isn't scary, it has some dark humour, it has (considering its age) amazing make-up and special effects
Yep, 1994, that's ancient. :?

March thee off to the nearest Blockbuster and rent 2001: A SPACE ODDYSSEY from 1968, or STAR WARS EPISODE VI: RETURN OF THE JEDI FROM 1983.
