So, what do you call it? I like mine called "Chicago Dog" which comes with mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes, dill pickle spears, sport peppers and celery salt.

My personal favorite brands are:
1. Oscar Meyer
2. Best Kosher
3. Vienna
In exactly that order. BUT, you must remember, it's not just the brand, it's the way they are cooked. I like my hot dogs cooked one of two ways. Steamed, "Chicago Style," and loaded with the works, or roasted over an open fire (weenie Roast) with mustard and pickle relish.

Yes, they have a natural casing which gives them their distinctive "snap" when you bite into them. They also have an all beef traditional skinless hot dogs. You may want to check out your local hot dog shops, and ask them a question.

Ok, anyway.... anyone tried New Jersey Ripper Dogs before? It comes with deep fried along with mustard and relish? And also, what is Texas Dogs? I've never tried it before, so what is everything on it?
By the way, why do hot dogs also called "snappers"?

Any of you gringos ever had a "Sonoran Dog" before? It's a hot-dog wrapped in bacon and covered in onions, tomatoes, chili peppers and beans... I think... there are a ton of corner hot dog carts in Tucson and each of 'em has a different recipe so the "dog" you get depends on the cart you visit... and you have to know your Spanish to order at some of 'em....

iHaunt, I think you're talkinga bout a corn dog, and the answer is an emphatic "yes." I've had them and I LOVE them, with a little mustard to dip them in.
I will definately aska bout the all beef "skinless" hot dogs, but for the most part, I like Oscar Meyer, Best Kosher, or Vienna, and I like them steamed Chicago style, or roasted over an opened fire.

My hot dog store do have like this:
Smoked Sausage (sweet)
New York Hot Sausage
Polish Kielbasa
Bratwurst (veal)
Knockwurst (beef)
Anyway, for Miami hot dog, it comes with salsa and cheddar cheese.... also, I'd like to add mustard and jalapenos on it.

And of course, Mike.... I do love Vienna Sausages!

I like chicken falvored, some times regular, but not always. My grandpa loves Vienna sausages with BBQ flavored all the time!
