Sure the citizens could vote, but they had better vote for the right candidate, meaning Saddam. If not, they could wind up dead. Same thing in Cuba and Venezuela[. Pure democracy leads to dictatorships./color]
TPTB don't count votes so it doesn't matter who you vote for, the right candidate always wins.
Makes no difference anyway, both parties are practically indistinguishable these days.

With a few exceptions, that is true. Which is why I stated my preference the way i did.

No iHaunt, Bush was a Republican.......
Saddam was running for evil dictator......he won it 30yrs in a row
Ohh, I'm sorry that you are 100 percent correct Spooky! Forgive me, because I didn't even know that Bush was a Republican. Of course, Saddam was the dictator for more than 30 years. My grandpa told me that Saddam was the Vice President in 1969 - 1979 when his cousin Bakr was the Prime Minister in 1968 until his illness then Saddam sent him home and Saddam took over as the President from 1979 - 2003 when the U.S. Marines captured him hiding in the hole underground.

Re: I'm jobless
Actualy, the president of the college where I worked was a woman. In fact she was the first woman who ever held that position. She was the only one who ever both publicaly and privately acknowledged and recognized me for my work.
At any rate, despite her death, times are really busy. I'm at work right now, and will not be getting out of here until 8:00 pm.
