No way on God's earth would I ever want to see an actual snuff film. Even the thought that someone somewhere makes them sickens me.

It for sure is very disgusting but that is what is interesting to me about it. Death and horror are good topic to learn about and have interesting thoughts about.

Watching a snuff film would be supporting/prospering the most heinous criminal activity. There is plenty of death in the world already. If you don't think so, you haven't lived as long as I have.

I would not seek out and pay for snuff film but I do like to watch one if I get the chance to get one. I have seen horrible death and suffering in my home country to be sure.

That's hard to say. I've seen so many of them I don't think I can just pick out juse one. I would say that the "Hostel" movies were gore and blood just for the sake of gore and blood, and a very pointless story line IMHO.

I agree Mike the Hostel film was not my favorite. The brutality was good but every thing else was bad.

[DELETED sentence]

Anyways, for me, these do the trick:

Evil Dead
Dead Snow
Trick R Treat
Day of the Dead
Bad Taste
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Faces of Death
The Hatchet series
Nightmare on Elm St. series
Anything Lucio Fulci has done
The Satanic Rites of Dracula

Not a big fan of gore here.... Over-the-top unnecessary gore really makes me not want to watch films. I can do gore with violence such as heads blowing off and things in war films... but I can't do unnecessary gore.

I've seen Saw-- and saw the Saw haunted house (which had the gorey-est scenes from the films) at Universal Studios. I get a metallic taste in my mouth when I see that much gore-- I'm mostly speaking of the sawing off the leg portion of the film.

I can't watch Hostel. No way.

The IMPLIED gore in The Human Centipede was gross as well-- though the film is all white and the picture of clean... until you start thinking about how the people are attached. Eeeew.
