Any pics, Murf?

Pumpkin, I haven't seen any of the new or more recent episodes. Hmm, going to have to check it out!

Yeah, the original Scooby-Do was an early '70s cartoon. I never watched it first-run, because I was already a teenager then. However, I am very experienced with it as a mother.

Seeing the stage play with my daughter was entertaining because there were so many parents in the audience who had grown up with the show. They were getting as big a kick out of it as the kids were.

Sorry, no pics, Ramaries.

I seriously dug on the old Scooby Doo as a kid, though it always bummed me out when it turned out to be somebody in a costume. As I got older I kept wondering if there wasn't an easier way for the bad guys to reach their goals than investing in so much professional level props and gear to get some minor criminal plan executed. I mean, did the thing they were after ever equal to how much they sunk into keeping people away?

I did catch one of the newer episodes. They actually had Harlan Ellison as a character, though I don't know if he did the voice. The plot dealt with the writings of HP Hatecraft. I was laughing my a$$ off. Hatecraft and Ellison were competing writers and Hatecraft was claiming his writings were actual ancient lore rather than something he created. One of his fans was dressing up as one of his creations without the author's knowledge to bolster his sales. There's a scene where Ellison goes off on Shaggy for not using the word "like" grammatically correctly. That was the only episode I saw, but I really thought it was clever.

As a kid, I used to watch The Great Pumpkin, the Disney Adventures of Ichabod Crane, and whatever other season things I could catch. As I remember, a lot of regular shows would run Halloween episodes. I remember this one, I think it was Little House on the Prairie, dealing with some sort of ghost. All I remember is one of the girls' Raggedy Ann doll kept moving of it's own accord. I remember this one scene where the girl is lying in bed and every time she looks over it was in another position. That creeped me out.
