its always strange when fruit is handed out. Any candy on halloween is good candy but the if I had to pick it would be those old butterscotch flavored chewy candies, anyone know what I mean, I cant remember the name right now........ohhhhh yeah MARY JANES. BLAHHHH.

I do like butterscotch hard candies.

Those orange and black wrapped chewies are just the worst. And if they melted in your bag on a hot Halloween night, you basically had a lump of good candy that got coated with the yucky stuff. I can appreciate the enthusiasm of color coordinating your wrappers with the holiday, but seriously, who was in the test audience when this candy was in the beta period?

I never knew about the proliferation of corn syrup until a friend read a bread labels' ingredients to me.

Well, a little sugar makes the yeast more active. But yeah, corn syrup in bread seems a bit extreme.

That brings to mind a European 'candy' that are pretty much hard black licorice disks which are salty instead of sweet. Pure torture.
