Halloween Discussion Forums, Costumes, Horror!

So, who's got the plans for next Halloween? I know it is still 364 days to go from there. I know I am still going to do something more for next year!

Not sure what we're doing next year, but I'd like it to involve less rap.

I hope everyone had a great Halloween. We didn't have many kids this year so we decided to go for a drive. Driving through town, there was barely anyone outside trick or treating.

I guess the spirit of Halloween is dead in our town.

A lot of people brought in tons of leftover candy this morning to the office.

Makes me wonder too, just what Halloween is morphing into.

Hardly anyone TOT'ed in my friend's neighborhood. Not sure about the kiddos, but I think the older crowd just went to house parties.

Maybe it was all of that rap music?

BTW: is that the Punisher in your new avatar, holding an apple juice box and what appears to be a cigarette?

Why yes it is. The picture was rendered family-friendly by the juice box. What looks like a cigarette is actually a Fun Dip stick.

halloween went fast this year.

I had a brilliant time! I had to send zombie brother on a candy run at about 8pm so I wouldn't run out! Based on the number of big bars I gave away, and the quantity of back-up minis, and then the cut from what ZomBro picked up, I'd say it was between 150 and 200 trick or treaters, which is definitely a new record! There were people showing up at six, before I'd even gotten the pumpkins lit and the lights turned on, and they were still coming at nine! On a Sunday!!

I guess I've finally put enough cr@p in the yard to attract attention. The pumpkin lights ten feet in the air probably helped too. The severed head in the Showtime Rotisserie cooker was a big hit, and my ten evil little Republicans (Sarah, Newt, Mitt, Rudy, Ahhnold, Dick, Rummy, Dubya, Senior, and Dole) posing with their pitchforks under the giant devil prop was also very popular. And then the premier of The Walking Dead after (which was okay), and, of course, distillers' edition Lagavulin from 1991.... Yes, it was a fine night!

No Worries... Halloween 2011 will be very much better than this year, who knows? Keep going haunters!

In my neighborhood every street was FULL of ToT'ers...I mean PACKED. There were 100's of kids everywhere.

It was a good night...
