I remember the Hostess Raspberry filled doughnuts. I never cared too much for them myself, but my Dad and my Sister both were nuts about them. I liked the Hostess miniture powered sugar doughnuts, or their chocolate covered miniature doughnuts.
But they were not my favorite. I loved Winchels doughnuts, which are no longer around from what I can see. Dunkion Doughnuts were also good, but they chanced their recipe or something and now they aren't quite as good. I miss Winchels.

Mike, I've never heard of Winchel's donuts. Were they available nationwide, or only throughout certain parts of the country?

Good lord...they're still in business. The closest one to me is 61 miles south.

Speaking of donuts, I saw this on either Food Network or the Travel Channel. There's a ballpark that sells a hamburger that's sandwiched between a donut instead of a bun! It sounds pretty gross to me. I dunno ... maybe it's surprisingly good.

There use to be a Winchels on Larkin Street in Joliet, but it was bough out by Dunkin Doughnuts. I think there are still a few Winchels in business in various places, but I have no clue where to find them. Too bad, because IMHO they were the best for large change doughnut shops.

Sonic the Hedgehog themed Spaghettios! Loved those, especially as a Sonic fan!
Can't really think of anything else...but...I can tell you some drinks that I miss from my childhood.
Arizona Pina Colada for one thing. It was pictured on a white bottle with an indian on it. I loved that stuff, and I can't find it anymore.
Sobe Lizard Blizzard: I heard it's still around...just not in the area that I live in. Which sucks because the "liz blizz" was my favorite flavor.
Then of course there were all the elemental drinks..."Rain" "Fire" "Meteor" Etc. And they were all produced by Snapple Beverage Company. I loved those.
And Frutopia is non-existant anymore either.
And for the longest time...Ghost Buster's fans would love to drink the Slimer HiC. I barily remember drinking it as a kid, and now that doesn't exist anymore either.
Some hard to find foods can be found on hometownfavorites.com ...if you want to pay the price. It's also a 20 dollar minimum to buy stuff on that site.
