I would call that a "reality show" of a type.

Yet another reason not to do or say anything online that may be interpreted as seditious...

Cracking Skype, huh? My son is in Europe right now. He hasn't "Skyped" me yet this trip, but back when he was living there in 2010, we were Skyping all.the.time.
This technological surveillance is scary. I mean, as long as they are just using it to track down terrorists, OK, but how do we know they won't cross a line?
I've been taking that on-line Hillsdale College course re the Constitution. One of the major points is that the Founders mistrusted human nature. They (maybe Madison? In one of the Federalist papers?) said that we weren't going to be governed by angels, but men. That's why they put so many restrictions on what the federal government was supposed to be able to do, because we can count on (men) (people) to do the wrong thing.

If voting changed anything it would be illegal

And that is what they want you to think. That way, you won't bother voting since nothing will change. Things are starting to change. It isn't going to happen overnight. It might take another 20 years. But if more people continue to pay attention to what is going on, and not just in October every 4 years, things will continue to change for the better.
We either continue towards communism and become a shell of the country we were, or we get on the right path and save the country for future generations.
I need to step off the soapbox now, I am getting lightheaded up here.

I think it would be a great idea if everybody went to the Hillsdale College web site to see if they can still sign up for their free on-line Constitution course. It is really good, thought-provoking, and explains clearly why the Constitution was written the way it was. The people teaching it believe that we are on the verge of leaving the Constitution behind and forming a new contract of some sort. Their message is, Know what you are getting rid of before you do this. Maybe you actually want to do it, and maybe not. But at least know what you are doing before you do it.

Thanks to the freedom of information act, Lifehacker has a list of words to avoid using online if you don't want to pique the govment's curiosity.

Great! San Diego is on the list. I use that word all the time. Hi Barack!

Well, I skimmed that list. There are definitely some words on there that anyone at all might use, in a completely innocent context.

Dang it! After watching Hatfields & McCoys I fully expected to get a shot of whiskey after voting. Sometimes the old ways are better.
