The Pumpkins we carve don't last very long for us either. By the next evening they're all shrivelled up! :x

Pumpkin56, did you roast any of the seeds for your niece? She will be less grossed out if she understands how good those seeds are to eat!

No I didn't even think about it  I did introduce her to the rice krispie treat though and to my disappointment, she is not a fan :?

Not a fan of rice krispie treats? Sacrilege!

That's OK about the seeds. Do it next year. I was in my 30s before I even knew you could do that, and then it took me a number of years to figure out how to do it. No one taught me. I just had to experiment. (You roast them slow in a low-temp oven for a couple of hours, stirring every hour, and season them however you like. I prefer garlic salt or Adobo).

I know! How can anyone NOT like rice krispie treats?!

I wanted to roast seeds this year but it just slipped my mind. I think I can buy raw seeds a Whole Foods or maybe Central Market so maybe I can still give it a try :)

Sorry, I guess we got to swapping recipes or something.

My all-time favorite vampire is probably Barnabas Collins. After that, maybe Gary Oldman in Dracula.
