Insomnia is also notable to see Al Pacino lose his mind.

Waaaaaa! Just dropped my growler full of apricot beer. Not only do I now have to buy a new bottle, that sweet sweet nectar is soaking into the earth. And Alpine Brewery is too far away for me to go get more right now.

Edit: I think the cat was out there drinking the beer. He just came staggering in and walked into the wall. Yup! Just heard him burp.

The first week of November is coming up and that's when my brother passed away, that always makes me sad, it's been 3 years, it was always just been him and I growing up together.

I can relate, my dad passed Oct 27th 2007 so it makes Halloween a little bit harder for me.....

I'm so sorry Spooky, it does make it a little more difficult some days.

Anniversaries like that can be tough. I try to picture my loved ones having a great time on the other side.

This will be the first Thanksgiving and Christmas without my stepdad. Then again, since I started working retail at minimum wage, I can't wait until January. I absolutely hate this job.

I'm sorry, Boogeyman. Hey, at least you are making some money. That's a good thing.

The first holidays after a loss are the hardest.

Well Boogy... I guess that's why they call it work, because it's no fun. Otherwise it would be called play.

I'm just glad my boss decided to put off his open heart surgery till after the holidays so I don't have that connection if things go wrong. He's in his mid-80s so there is the possibility. Been with him for over 25 years so it's going to be tough when he goes.

It's always tough when certain times of the year roll around and we realize that we can't or won't be with people who have been such an important part of our lives. One way to make things easier is to remember the good times you had back then. You can also in your own quiet way dedicate the holiday to that person or persons and resolve to enjoy it as a tribute to them and their memory.

We have more memories as we get older. Hopefully we can push the good ones to the top of our thoughts and pay them their due, while we go about getting some new ones.

What happened to the IT stuff you were training for Boogeyman?

I ended up quitting my job...but I'm hoping to make money making and selling my own crafts.

I also agree with Kolchak, the best thing to do is focus on the good times you had.

The call center hasn't opened yet, and won't open until February at the earliest. It could get delayed again too. I still have bills to pay so I had to get a job until the call center opens.

Sorry to hear that. I can see your point though. Guess it's better than nothing. I couldn't stand doing cashier work. So many angry customers and a pushy boss. Ugh.

What made me sad today? More like what made me mad: Wasps. >.< UGH! I got stung by one and had to make a mad dash for the benedryl. I don't take any chances with these things, I got a bee sting once that made my whole arm swell up. Looks like I'll be OK, but it still wasn't pleasant. I'd be a lot happier without wasps. I realize we need bees, bees are fine because they usually leave me alone as long as I leave them alone. Not wasps, hornets or yellow jackets. I could do without them. (Yeah I realize we need them to take care of pest insects, personally I wish they didn't exist either. Just have the helpful ones, and without stingers, and that would be just dandy. Plus we have spiders. That should be good enough right?)

Also a strange story...and this happened two Halloweens in a row...I was cleaning the paint off my face from my Halloween costume...and got stung from a wasp hiding in the towel...twice in a row...it's almost Halloween now and I wore face paint for the college trick or treat event...coincidence? Maybe I should go with a mask from now on? o.O Of course I cleaned the paint off my face while still at school and I got stung changing the litter pans...so I don't know. It's still kind of freaky/weird. Maybe wasps have a vendetta against Halloween? Normally I don't think any creature is born evil...well...the wasp hornet and yellowjacket literally is...>.< The stung on Halloween twice in a row incident happened when I was still a kid if I remember right...or young teen/preteen somewhere around that age...
