Aww. Don't be downcast.

ToT was surprisingly slow last night. It was chilly but dry, and a Friday, but I got only four groups. Last year I got five groups, and it was pouring rain.

Probably we are feeling the effects of our nearby street no longer being the block party it once was. Several houses there did go all out, but it was nothing to compare with the pre-pandemic days, when the police sometimes had to come to direct traffic. Also, the nearby elementary school did a massive Trunk or Treat on Thursday night. The police did show up for that one. Perhaps most of the neighbor children did their ToTing then.

We have tons of leftover candy, but there's a Trunk or Treat at our church tonight, so I have another shot at giving it away. I'm glad the frivolity isn't quite over.

Because we live on a very busy street, everyone on this end of town sees my yard haunt, so it's never a waste for me to decorate.

I'm sure thst part of the issue here is that being an agricultural area, many families are migrant laborers, and ICE has been very active lately.

We had 1 toter the entire evening, and she was well rewarded for her participation.

Man, I don't know where those little kids get that much energy from ... it must be the sugar. There were 18 kids in total at the party, 8 of them stayed for the night and spent most of Sat. with us, and we are still not done, tomorrow they will be coming with us and we will be going back to the farm haunt again for some more Halloween fun ... HELP ME!

If I survive the weekend I'll be back to tell you about it.

Yes, Murf, it's my brother's house.

Towers aren't allowed in my building, it's full of old farts like me.

We had s nice little party at church last night. Everybody ate chili, the kids played games and had a costume contest, and then it wrapped with Trunk or Treating in the parking lot. I always decorate my car to the hilt. Some do and some don't. It was an enjoyable time.
